About us
The building is over 100 years old. The name HERITAGE is to celebrate the history and many families that kept the building alive.
Heritage is more than our name, it’s woven into the history of our space.
The building's first owner, Mr. Hofstra, was from Amsterdam. In honor of his Dutch heritage, the green throughout our space was inspired by the iconic Essex green of the Heineken brewery. The building later became part of the La Cañada family's story. After the 1906 earthquake, the family rebuilt the building, which still carries their name today, the La Cañada Building. To honor their Spanish heritage, we salvaged two antique Spanish barn doors and gave them a new home inside Heritage.
And now, a new chapter. The next owners bring together English, Irish, Scottish, American, and Italian roots...heritage that we celebrate through the food, traditions, and hospitality found throughout our menu.
Every generation has left a little piece of its story here. We're proud to carry those stories forward while adding one of our own.
